Events Programme at La Mouissone for the Festival des Jardins de la Côte d’Azur; 30 March to 28 April 2019.
La Mouissone is delighted to participate in the second Festival des Jardins de la Côte d’Azur. To mark this, we will be holding three specialist events reflecting gardening and plants in the Mediterranean. In addition, garden visits will be held on Friday afternoons; 5th, 12th and 26th April, starting at 14h00.
L'Arbre: Une Foret d'Idees Rescues
Pierre Lacarrere and La Mouissone’s gardening team invite you to share their passion for trees in the magnificent property of La Mouissone. This event is also an opportunity to increase public awareness of trees and the respect they deserve.
- 10h00 - 12h00: The morning session will be devoted to a tree climbing demonstration with the prospect of discovering the latest techniques used to enter tree canopies by ropes and the main points of establishing the health and safety of the tree when pruning and shaping.
- 14h00 - 17h00: Conference led by Pierre Lacarrere on the theme of the respect owed to trees in the landscape.

Parfums de la Mediterranee
Spend the day with perfumer Jessica Buchanan, whose creative workshop, 1000 Flowers, is based in the old town of Grasse. Discover the various essences derived from Mediterranean plants. The scent palette will be based on the plants used in her perfume compositions, as well as those found in the Domaine of La Mouissone.

Shade Plants for The Mediterranean Climate
Exhibition and Sale of plants by nurseryman, Olivier Ezavin of "Le Monde des Fougères" in Roquefort les Pins. Featured plants will be those suitable for dry shade areas in our Mediterranean climate. Practical planting advice for differing environments will be available.

Garden Visits
Throughout the period of the Festival des Jardins de la Cote d’Azur, guided garden visits will be held on Fridays; 5th, 12th and 26th April, starting at 14h00. The visits will be guided by proprietor, Lady Lockett.
